Sandra Hilliard
Senior Research Consultant
Sandra is an experienced researcher with a deep understanding of the transformative power of data and capacity building—especially to maximize the impact of programs and investments. She offers extensive research and evaluation experience supporting philanthropic and social sector organizations with community development, K-12 education and youth-focused programs and initiatives.
She is skilled at developing program logic models and theories of change; designing and implementing program evaluations; developing data collection tools and assessments, including surveys, focus group protocols, and interview protocols; analyzing quantitative and qualitative data; and creating a range of products such as scorecards, reports, data visualizations, and presentations to share outcomes and results with stakeholders.
Before joining Harder+Company, she was an evaluation and learning analyst at First 5 LA, where she led the evaluation of an initiative aimed at developing community capacity to address key issues for children 0-5 in Los Angeles County. She also served as evaluation manager at Youth Guidance in Chicago, IL for a school-based social emotional support program that helps at-risk young men in middle and high school. Outside of work, Sandra enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her partner and 4-year old Maltipoo.
