Kristi Koumjian

Director

Kristi has more than 15 years of experience helping community organizations meet a wide range of evaluation, needs assessment, and strategic planning needs.  Her expertise cuts across numerous fields, including early childhood, nutrition, tobacco control, older adults, and sexual assault and domestic violence prevention. She directs complex research and planning projects aimed at helping public and social sector clients to improve service delivery, frequently developing recommendations for how organizations can improve programs and strengthen policies. Kristi has led large, multi-level evaluations about school readiness, communities of practice, care coordination and systems change. Notably, she has worked with several First 5 commissions to implement longitudinal studies of child and family outcomes.

Since joining Harder+Company in 2002, Kristi has excelled at building rapport among clients, program staff and the people who are directly served by our clients. Prior to joining the firm, Kristi worked as a research scientist at the California Department of Health Services, Tobacco Control Section, where she conducted epidemiological investigations and provided evaluation-related technical assistance to local program staff.

Kristi is the Board President of the East End Child Care Center, a play-based center in Sacramento. She was also a member of Leadership Sacramento (class of 2015).
