Theo is a skilled researcher with extensive experience in the fields of public health and education. He offers deep knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods from preliminary theorizing and research design, to supervising data collection teams, and implementing rigorous analysis plans. Importantly, beyond his technical expertise, Theo’s teaching experience makes him an adept communicator of complex findings for audiences with varied methodological knowledge. He has contributed to projects focused on a wide range of issues—from school readiness to preventative HIV medication—that include tangible applied research recommendations and social policy implications for addressing systemic inequalities in the areas of health and education. Theo has advanced proficiency in Spanish.
Prior to joining Harder+Company, he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Harvard College Fellows Program. He has also worked at the Center for the Study of Inequality in Ithaca, New York and in the Policy Office of New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine. His work at Harder+Company is informed by these experiences of applied research centered on addressing inequities in partnership with social sector clients. After long days of data-driven decision-making, Theo likes to unwind by catching a musical theater performance or diving into a sci-fi novel.
