Rami is an accomplished researcher and social worker, dedicated to using the power of research to foster social impact across multiple settings and sectors. He is particularly interested in assessing the impact of programs and initiatives on underserved groups, including immigrants and refugees. He offers experience in social service practice, management, and administration, supplemented with rigorous research training. He is skilled in research design, financial modeling, and advanced statistical analysis including multivariate regression, factor analysis, and longitudinal modeling. He has provided hands-on training in applied methods, instrument design, interview techniques, functional statistical analysis, and participatory action research strategies. Rami is fluent in Arabic.
Prior to joining Harder+Company, Rami was a researcher at the Mack Center on Nonprofit and Public Sector Management, as well as the Institute for the Study of Societal Issues. He was also a University of California Chancellor’s Graduate Research Fellow, conducting research on predictors of socioeconomic adjustment among refugees in the United States. Previously, Rami oversaw nonprofit programs that provided case management to older adult refugees and immigrants, as well as English language and employability training. He also served as an academic coordinator at BAYAC AmeriCorps. Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Rami is a lifelong believer in underdogs and the spirit of resilience.
