Maggie offers rich experience in public health, K-12 education, early childhood programs, and international development. She is passionate about applying her background in direct service work and applied research to assist social sector organizations in understanding and deepening their impact on underserved communities. Maggie is skilled in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including designing studies and evaluation plans, developing and administering surveys and interviews, providing technical assistance, and conducting advanced statistical analysis, including multivariate regression.
Before joining Harder+Company, Maggie was a USAID Research and Innovation Fellow in South Africa. There she conducted user experience research for an education technology company, informing the product design of a mobile application aimed at supporting caregivers in promoting children’s early literacy development. Prior to this, she spent time at nonprofits, working as a community health educator in Uganda and as the data coordinator of a training program for child-care providers in California. She also spent three years as a high school math teacher through Teach for America, working in a rural community outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. In her free time, Maggie enjoys reading, traveling, attending art and cultural events, and making the most of the California sunshine.
