Kristina Gelardi, PhD, offers rich experience integrating research and evaluation into the development, implementation, and measurement of innovative policies and practices to help meet needs of marginalized children, families, and communities. She has particular experience working to train both youth and adults in youth engagement practices, to ensure that youth are able to meaningfully contribute to reforming policies that affect their lives. She is particularly interested in integrating developmental psychology and neuroscience research into program evaluation and policy development to promote resilience in the face of adversity. Kristina has deep knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods for program evaluation, including meeting facilitation, literature reviews, focus groups, data analysis, and reporting.
Prior to joining Harder+Company, Kristina was an independent consultant developing training curriculum and program evaluation for clients such as Foster Youth in Action and the Sacramento County Expecting and Parenting Youth Partnership, and she lectured at the California State University, Sacramento for the Education Department’s Child Development Program. She has also served as a policy coordinator for California Youth Connection and program coordinator for Youth Leadership Institute. Currently Kristina is on the Steering Committee for Resilient Sacramento, a chapter of the ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Network. In her free time, Kristina enjoys riding her bike near and far, and catching up with the good folks in her life.
