Kristen has extensive experience in education and child development. Her research expertise includes developing data collection instruments; conducting and analyzing interviews and focus groups; facilitating strategic planning efforts; presenting data analysis results to diverse audiences; providing clients with technical assistance; and experience with multiple statistical analysis softwares. She has advanced proficiency in Spanish, intermediate proficiency in Portuguese, and basic proficiency in Japanese.
Prior to joining Harder+Company, Kristen helped design and manage large-scale research and evaluation projects at Empirical Education to help K-12 school systems make evidence-based decisions about the effectiveness of their programs, policies, and personnel. Her field experience includes work with the Michael Cohen Group on a randomized control trial in the New York Metropolitan area and developing and leading parent and teacher workshops for the New Haven/León Sister City Project in León, Nicaragua. Prior to pursuing her Master’s Degree, Kristen spent several years as an Associate Director at CCS, a fundraising, development services, and strategic consulting firm where she helped organizations strengthen their development capacity and better pursue their missions. With an unabated appetite for travel, Kristen enjoys yoga, hiking, and snowboarding in the Bay Area and around the globe.
