Betanya Mahary

Research Associate

Betanya is a researcher with broad knowledge of program evaluation, data analytics, and policy and advocacy. She offers rich expertise in theory of change development, impact metrics and strategy, data collection tool development, and large dataset management. Betanya is also an experienced project manager, skilled in developing detailed project timelines, managing deliverables, and tracking team progress. She is fluent in Amharic and Tigrinya, with intermediate proficiency in French and basic proficiency in Arabic.

Prior to joining Harder+Company, Betanya was a fellow at the Ethiopian Diaspora Fellowship. She has also been a project lead at KP Innovative Solutions and data and impact lead at Forested in Ethiopia, as well as a data science research assistant at Understood.org in New York. In her free time, Betanya enjoys trying new recipes, traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
