Anna is a seasoned strategist and mixed-methods researcher, with specific expertise in policy evaluation and working with clients to build their own capacity for evaluation. She has applied her research acumen across a number of different fields, with a particular passion for work that addresses health disparities. Anna is fluent in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods. She is skilled at designing and conducting interviews, surveys, and social network analysis, and in developing innovative methods for evaluating complex systems change initiatives. She has worked extensively with philanthropic agencies to help them understand the impact of their grantmaking and make adjustments to their strategy, as well as with government agencies to evaluate long-term, multi-site service delivery programs. She is fluent in Spanish.
Prior to joining our firm in 2012, Anna built a strong track record at applied research firms in California and Massachusetts. At Blueprint R+D, she managed evaluations of policy change efforts in the fields of education, health, and youth development. When Blueprint was acquired by Arabella Advisors, Anna continued to lead evaluation projects as an Associate Director. Previously, she worked at Mathematica Policy Research and at Stanford University. Anna has contributed to nearly a dozen publications, many focused on issues related to maternal and child health. Anna enjoys walking the hills of San Francisco and spending time outdoors with her family.
