Shya Castillo

Research Associate

Shya has dedicated her career to issues of public health, HIV/AIDS, and youth homelessness. She brings to Harder+Company strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills honed through mixed-methods research experience, including leading focus groups, conducting multivariate analyses, and developing measurement tools. Additionally, while earning her Master of Public Health degree, she was a Center for Health Leadership Fellow and participated in an 18-month leadership development program where she developed skills in community-based needs assessments and program planning.

Prior to joining Harder+Company, Shya managed data at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, and served as a research associate for the University of California San Francisco, Department of Medicine. She has also done volunteer work with Larkin Street Youth Services, providing services at a drop-in center for transient youth ages 18-24. Shya enjoys running and spending time with her black lab, Buddy.
