Ericka is a bilingual researcher with a background in psychology, education, and criminal justice. She has experience conducting research among diverse communities, including recruiting and screening research participants, conducting interviews, creating and maintaining databases, analyzing and cleaning data sets, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, and preparing reports to share findings. Her fluency in Spanish makes her a valuable contributor to projects at the local, regional, and national level.
Prior to joining Harder+Company, Ericka supported a research project for the Development, Disorder & Delinquency Lab at the University of California, Irvine. The project focused on following first-time male juvenile offenders and developing decision-making guidelines for juvenile justice professionals. She also supported program evaluation at the Orange County Department of Education and worked as a behavioral therapist for youth with autism and other developmental disabilities. As a native San Diegan, Ericka enjoys the beach, discovering new places, and making music.
